PM: Government to allocate 25 bln rbl to support car industry

MOSCOW, May 21 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will allocate 25 billion rubles to support the car industry, including 5 billion rubles to acquire ambulance cars, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a government meeting on Thursday.

“We continue to support industries and companies hurt by the spread of the coronavirus disease. According to the president’s order, we will send 25 billion rubles to support the car industry, of which 5 billion rubles will be spent on emergency ambulance cars purchases,” he said.

The funds will be also used for beneficial lending and leasing, and for advance purchases of Russia-made cars for parastatal companies.

Mishustin also said that the resources accumulated by Russia and the current measures will strengthen the budget system and support the people and the businesses.
